This website is designed to help you explore new technologies and use them to learn about STEM concepts. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Our schools STEM lab has a lot a cool technology in it but you might not know how to use it. This website will help you get started. You can explore the menu above and begin your journey. But first, make sure you take a look at this home page to get a better idea what this site is all about.
Under the Technologies section you will find information about all of the technology that is available inside the STEM Lab. The section also includes some challenges and example activities that will help you start figuring out how to use the technology.

TELES stands for Technology-enhanced Learning Experiences. This sections includes a variety of STEM topics to investigate that will use technology to help deepen your learning. If you're interested in learning about specific topics like human body systems or friction for example, explore this area.

The For Teachers sections is exactly what it says. If you don't want to be slightly bored, I would stay out of there. It is there to help teacher learn to use more technology in their classrooms.

Coding is simply a way to communicate with technology. It allows you to tell a computer what you want it to do. There are so many courses, apps, games, etc. that can help introduce you to coding. You can design games, apps, animations, websites etc. and present them to an online audience. Below is a video about one program called Scratch. Robotics is just what it sounds like, the study of robots. Robots are machines that can be used to do jobs and solve problems. Some robots can even do jobs by themselves. However, most robots must always have a person telling them what to do, which means robotics and coding are closely connected. Digital Storytelling is all about telling stories using technology. You can share your creations with the entire world. There are many ways you can start digital storytelling. Stop Motion animation is a great way to begin. You can use paper, clay, whiteboards, Lego, etc. There are many programs and apps that make stop motion movie making easy. You can even choose to create your own music for your projects. Not cool enough for you? Well then try green screen movie making. It has been used to alter movie settings for a long time. However, what used to require expensive equipment can now be done with most computers and tablets. All you need is a device and a green surface. We have a big green screen in the STEM Lab for you to use. You can even combine the technologies using Stik Bot Studio in the STEM Lab. Learn more below...

Do you like taking pictures? How about changing and altering them after?Digital photo editing has never been easier through a whole bunch of free apps and programs. You can edit your own original photography or use images from the internet. Images can be easily enhanced and altered in many creative ways.
